240 sundeck best cruising speed for fuel efficiency

've mostly been cruising around 28–32 mph just because it feels smooth and the boat handles nice there, but I'm starting to pay more attention to fuel burn, especially on longer runs, does anyone have experience with the most efficient cruising speed on this setup and like I'ma sking here because theres a lot in the internet and the sites but I wanna hear from real owners? I'm guessing it's somewhere around 3200–3400 rpm, but I still wanna know what others have to say

There are millions of things that can affect the consumption and getting an advice here may not help you get better numbers. For the most part 3k to 3.5k is often the sweetspot, but try a few different speeds and rpm ranges to see which one is the most efficient. Also, keep in mind that you'll still need to maintain the speed, so don't expect miracles at lower rpms

for most planning hulls, the most efficient cruising speed often isn't the fastest, but rather where the boat is comfortably on a plane without working too hard. It's usually just past the point where it stops 'plowing' and starts riding smoothly

I get where you're coming from and I've got the same SPX 210 with the 200hp outboard, and for me, the sweet spot's around 3,300 RPM doing about 26–28 mph, it feels smooth, sips less fuel, and still planes great
