How do you estimate full tow weight when buying a Sea Ray?

Looking at a 2004 Sea Ray 240 Sundancer for myself, but I'm trying to figure out if my 2021 Ford Expedition can handle it safely. Dry weight is listed at 5300 lbs, but I know that doesn't include trailer, fuel, gear, water, etc. Trailer info isn't included in the listing either. What's the best way to estimate the full, ready-to-tow weight when you can't weigh it in person? Thanks in advance.

Add about 1,500–2,000 lbs for trailer, fuel, gear, and water to the boat's dry weight and check your expedition's towing capacity and always stay below that for safety

Why not try calculating the total weight using averages for the trailer, fuel, and gear, what's stopping you from estimating it that way before checking your Expedition's actual towing limits?

A friend of mine has that expedition and the towing capacity is 9k, so you should be good. The boat with water and gas shouldn't be more than 6k and if the trailer is for that size, I doubt it's going to be more than 1.5k, maybe 2k, plus a couple of hundred for any gear. You'll be at the upper limit, but you should be fine. Maybe you can reach out to the seller and ask if he has the info? At least to give you the trailer model so that you can check the weight
